Doctors’ Lists

As a listed practice, each patient will be assigned to a Doctor’s ‘list’. Lists are either covered by one GP or several GPs sharing due to part time working.

We aim to book each appointment with your registered GP wherever we can to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Participation Group

A patient participation group is generally made up of a group of volunteer patients, the practice manager and one or more of the GPs from the practice. The group meets on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice.

The aims of the group are to:

  • Provide input on the issues affecting the practice
  • Review suggestions and feedback from patients
  • Get updates on developments and changes

We have an active and engaged patient participation group with meetings approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.

If you would be interested in volunteering and are a registered patient with us, please email harcourt.admin@nhs.net for an application form.

Care Quality Commission

As an NHS GP practice we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Harcourt Medical Centre is registered and monitored by CQC and is currently rated as ‘Good’

We are registered to provide:

  • Diagnostic and screening procedures
  • Maternity and midwifery services
  • Treatment of disease, disorder or injury
  • Family planning
  • Surgical procedures

Dr Benjamin Kay is the registered manager and is responsible for standards at the medical centre.

The CQC regulates health and care services to ensure that safe care is provided. The law requires that we must report certain serious events to the CQC, for example, when patient safety has been put at risk. Further information about the CQC can be found by clicking here:
