Mental health services

There is a range of local organisations to support and improve your mental health.

If you need urgent medical help, please call 999 or go straight to A&E. If it is less urgent, please contact the surgery to speak to your GP or call 111 out of hours.

We recommend these organisations to help with mental health issues

Riverside Sanctuary

Provides a supportive, safe and calm environment, 365 days a year for people who may be experiencing difficulties with their emotional or mental wellbeing. Open 3pm-11pm, 7 days a week (due to COVID-19, this is currently a telephone service).

Also provides support to ex-service personnel who are at risk of a mental health crisis, or who are struggling to manage their mental wellbeing. This service is available 9am-11pm, 7 days a week.

Wiltshire IAPT

Offering a wide range of support, from psycho-educational courses to one-to-one telephone appointments, for patients with low mood/depression, anxiety, stress, OCD and more.

This service is free and accessible for anyone registered with a Wiltshire GP Surgery. You can self-refer by calling the telephone number below.

Social Prescriber

We are lucky enough to have our own social prescriber – Carl Adams. He has an in-depth knowledge of support and care services in the local area as well as community projects to get involved with. We know that feeling socially isolated has a major impact on mental wellbeing. Contact the surgery if you feel this could apply to you and would like support
